Open Source Exit Scorecard Grows with IBM Purchase of Red Hat

Open source companies have enjoyed some pretty spectacular exits lately:

Microsoft bought GITHUB for $7.5 billion.

Elastic went public.

Salesforce bought Mulesoft for $6.5 billion.

IBM announced it is buying Red Hat for a whopping $34 billion.

VMWare buys Heptio.
