Court Enforces Creative Commons License

In Dragulis v. Kappa Map Group, a court recently cofirmed that a photo licensed under the Creative Common By-SA 2.0 license could be used for commercial purposes.  The plaintiff photographer had uploaded his photo to Flickr and made it available under CC-BY-SA.  The CC Sharealike licenses are roughly equivalent to copyleft licenses for software.  In this case, the defendant complied with the terms of the license,  including its notice requirements.
